Hello Everyone!

I just picked up a nice set of BBS wheels and while cleaning them up I found that two of the BBS manufacturer stickers on the inside of the barrels were starting to peel off. I want to preserve these as much as possible and wanted to see what everyone's thoughts are on covering them with some sort of clear film/tape/etc. to prevent them from completely peeling off. The one pictured is holding well but the others are about half way off at this point.

Hmmm..... Kind of an odd question.

Just off the top of my head, I might try a little 3M spray adhesive on the backs of the stickers, then apply a clear acrylic paint over the top.

Like i said....... Just my guess. Not sure it would even work well. Lol

PaulMys took the words right out of my mouth! Can’t think of a better way to do it honestly.

Only other option would be to track down BBS wheels contact info and ask them what they’d recommend or if they sell the stickers?

Beautiful wheels btw, BBS RF’s? If so my buddy has a set in Brilliant Black on a black IS300 and it looks juuuust right!

Appreciate the suggestions! So basically get the sticker to lay down again and then clear coat it, i'll look into the spray adhesive to start with and go from there.

Keep us updated on what you do to fix this as it’s an interesting topic especially when it comes to preserving rare JDM and European wheels.

Thanks for the contact info, and that was my main thought also, I want to preserve these as much as I can and the stickers help with retaining their value as well. I'll reach out to BBS to see if they have any replacement stickers available.

The wheels are BBS RG-R, I snagged them as a summer set for my MK7 Golf R.

Aaaahhh yes RG-R’s, showing my lack of BBS wheel names/styles. They look perfect your Golf R
