My neighbor has a black Audi A3 that they inherited with white paint scuffed on all four corners of the car from the previous owner rubbing the garage door trim. They've asked if I could get it off and I'm sure it's doable as it doesn't 'feel' as if it's scratched or rubbed the paint off of the car, but I've never done anything like this before.

What would be the best approach to tackling this? Assuming I'd normally wash, clay bar then compound/polish/aio being the normal approach, I don't want to jump to an abrasive that will get it off, but at the same time mix it in to the corrected paint area.

I don't have pictures of it but pretty much each corner has some degree of white paint over the black body paint.

Thanks in advance!

A polish or even AIO can remove the scuffs, if not, go to a compound.

It takes a bit of patience and tenacity, but I've removed latex paint scuffs with red (aggressive) clay.

:buffing:Laquer thinner on dry towel then light polish, Takes 3 seconds and laquer thinner is paint safe with common sense

Thanks for the info all, I do appreciate it! Haven't heard from them if they want me to do it yet but figured I'd do my homework in advance.
