Hey everyone. How’s it going? My first post here, though I’ve been lurking in the shadows for while. Lol.

I have what may be a foolish question. I jumped into the detailing game with both feet not too long ago. I Started a mobile/home based detailing business when I realized I loved the job, and I was actually pretty good at it. Luckily, just through word of mouth and referrals, and a few cards left at the local garage, I have been busy since the day I started, and have not even had a chance to put up a website or had any social media exposure yet at all.

The question I have is, how do you guys keep your vacuum hoses from scratching step sills and such?
I am worried, I’m going to scratch a. customers paint one day with a corrugated vacuum hose.

I really love this forum. It is an invaluable source of learning for me. I have checked out a couple of others, but the amount of combined knowledge here is truly amazing.

Thanks in in advance for any help you guys can give me.

Welcome to AGO, Keith. :)

Two things that come to my mind are: Drape a big MF (or cotton) towel over the sill while vacuuming, or wrap the vac hose in foam (or towels).

Just my two pennies.....

Sound advice. You can also tape the sills with painters tape. Welcome Keith and good luck to you on your business venture. It sounds like you are off to a good start.
