thank you very much mr bobby G! yes only rotaries. my makita & the dewalt. i was tought to compound on the dewalt dw849 thats why i still use it. i dont use it as often anymore bc its about 3lbs heavier than the makita & i do this pretty much every day.Andrew,
I thoroughly enjoyed this thread and both the step by step narration including some great photography!
If I'm not mistaken, it looks like you performed the restoration using only rotary machines, am I correct? The reason for my asking is that many feel a rotary is the evil nemesis of detailing and can't achieve spectacular results. I completely disagree with this opinion and did everything with a rotary for years before the dual action machines hit the market.
