Hello all! New to the forum and currently building a mobile wash/light detail trailer. I have been using the forums to learn about mobile operations and best products, so thank you already!

My issue is that will be working in environmentally sensitive areas and per our town regulations, any runoff must be biodegradable. I would rather not spend the money on a catch mat just yet. So, any recommendations on soaps and or other products that will meet these requirements? Thanks in advance for any feedback. This place is a wealth of knowledge and a great resource.

•There are plenty of biodegradable car-wash
shampoos on the market. Meguiar’s, for example,
has previously stated that all of their car-wash
shampoos are biodegradable. (I prefer their
D110 Hyper-Wash car-wash shampoo)

But, ironically, once any biodegradable
car-wash shampoo is used to clean dirt,
road film/oil, man-made/environmental
contaminates, etc from vehicle surfaces...
it is no longer considered “biodegradable”,
or “environmentally safe”. Crazy, huh?

•There are also Federal regulations in place
(RE: Clean Water Act; et al) that govern the
disposal of untreated aqueous solutions’ run-
off via a storm drainage system.

-Word of advice:
If your local administration officials have
waived any of those Federal regulations
for you and your business’ sake...make
sure you get it in writing.
