Hello,

I hope someone can help me. I came outside after work yesterday and noticed my truck had been bird abused. They left a few dropping on my bed cover. Most of them came out with soapy water but this one stain wont budge. What products are recommended for a bedcover? I really dont want to damage the material. I have a PC DA polisher but I dont know if its a good idea to use it in this case...lol.

Here is a pic if you want to see it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Mild APC and a nylon scrub brush?
Is the cover fabric/vinyl or hard plastic?

I'm almost 100% its hard plastic. It's the roll-up kind. Not good with the lingo, what is APC? and a nylon scrub brush won't create scratches will it?

Oh, is it a Retrax? If so:

The RETRAX ™ tonneau cover is manufactured from polycarbonate, a durable thermoplastic commonly known as LEXAN ®. This rigid, one piece sheet is engineered to retract without joints or hinges that can trap dust, wear out, or freeze. Polycarbonate has excellent impact resistance and is unharmed by sun, moisture or temperatures from -50 to +200 degrees F. The RETRAX ™ is maintenance-free and its low-profile design has a gloss-black finish that is UV treated for years of protection from the sun. Our engineers utilized the same polymer technology in fighter-jet windshields and bullet proof glass and designed a truck bed cover that withstands the most rugged use.

I would concur that an all purpose cleaner like Optimum Power Clean would be my first choice.

Like Shiny said above, an all purpose cleaner. You'll want to work gently at first and check often. Scratches aren't likely but everyone's scrub brush is different.

Optimum Power Clean is great, but if you want to try something around the house, a cleaner like you'd use on vinyl floors or countertops might be a good option. Try the brush-cleaner combo in an out-of-the way corner first, though, just to be careful.

Once it's clean, I'd protect it with a dressing. Then, the next time the bird drops a bomb, it will be much easier to clean
