The owner came to me form a local car forum i sponsor. He bought the car back in november and had it put in storage. With the weather finally breaking he wanted it to be up to par for some shows.

This was in bad shape. Someone had a good filler product, once it was degreased, and clayed the damage was every where. I spent 22 hours on this job.

First off the car was given a foam bath. I let it dwell a few minutes, Washsed, foamed and washed again.

great job. what process did you use to clean up the sanded part? i have an upcoming job that looks just like that.

Menzerna power gloss on a purple wool pad was used to remove the deeper marks, then super intensive polish on a cyan hydro tech pad. Followed super finish on a tangerine hydro tech pad.

All work was done with my flex 3401

Say about 95% of the sanding marks came out. I can only wonder what some people are thinking while they are grabbing sand paper and a buffer.

I am willing to bet alot them start out with, watch me. I can fix them scratches really quick

great job..did you have to do anything "special" in order to properly clean up (and not damage) the graphics/lettering on the sides?

Nope. I just went right over them. wether your supposed to or not, i am not sure.

I had a ton of fun bringing this car back to life.

If everything goes as planned, I will be cleaning the interior of a convertable version of the same model car. Anything that I should be aware of?Feed back please
