black car scratches in clear coat

got a new black car. how can I take scratches out of the clear coat by hand?
 
How many days are you willing to dedicate to the task? Lol.
 
if you can catch your fingernail on it......it ain't coming out

Just 1 scratch? In that case it’ll be a piece of cake. I believe Meguiars sells a scratch kit, but really all you need is some Meguiars Ultimate Compound, microfiber applicator, and a microfiber towel. It’ll take less than 2 minutes.
