Being that this product is black will this hide some minor chips ( road rash ) on the front end of a black car?

I would say yes if it was applied pretty think in those areas. In general the amount of wax actually left on the car after removing the haze is amazingly thin. The best thing to do is try it and find out so you can let us know!

The results will be very minor as it will buff off, you can especially see chips on a black car.
