Yea if you look up specs for a Challenger with that build sheet you had maybe a 14 second car. Guys that were legit street racers in Detroit rarely if ever used stock cars. They were almost always "hot rodded". That Challenger would've been smoked, routinely. Beautiful car for sure, but not a world beater like the myth has made it out to be. Just nonsense.I watched a couple of documentaries and some other videos including the one above by Uncle Tony^
The guy who paid that much for that all stock car with a mythical fake history of winning BS races is a complete fool. There’s nothing about that car that could make it an extraordinary race car. All it was was some guys car and nothing more. Lol.
It’s been a minute since I seen those videos but iirc the son came off looking like a greedy liar from what I remember because he did everything he could to hype that car all for some dummy to come by and overpay for it. If it was really so special why didn’t he keep it or put it in a museum? I’m so sure he’d ever think of donating it to museum, right? What a joke. Lol.
This younger generation seems to care very little about these muscle cars. It’ll be interesting once the market hits the wall and finds out not too many people left will be willing to pay these absurd prices for these kind of cars and then what? They’re going to get a reality check because those plain cars ain’t worth no $100,000 and certainly not worth 1,000,000. They’re out of their minds.
