Spent about 6 hours on it and it looked amazing..give thumbs up for Black Light!

Nicely done!! I love Black Light...... AG, CG are my two favorite places to spend money.... Bar Bones is also nice....

wow! very nice. i have been wondering about these two products! how was the black light to work with? and the hybrid v7?

I will say the blacklight was probably one of the easiest waxes ive used. After letting it sit for 15min the first coat came off effortlessly

after applying the second coat and using the v7 as a final wipedown caused the owner to giggle.

I think that speaks more than any photograph, when you can make a grown man giggle like a little kid. haha

aaahhh.....Midnight Purple Pearl..../drool....

Rafimos- when you say final wipedown with HV7...does this mean you used HV7 to "remove" the second coat of BL? Great job!

I wont mention the product since its now against the rules to talk about stuff AG doesn't sell but the car turned out nice.

Its just a show n shine.... Relax.

My understanding too was that mentioning non AG products was okay, but no links. Seems like I just read a Zaino thread on AG and don't recall a problem. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, the car looks great.

I thought we can talk about other products, just no links, or am I wrong?

I'm just going off this updated rule from 1 month ago. You guys feel free to talk about what you want, I'm trying to follow the rules :dblthumb2:

"Since AutogeekOnline is exclusively sponsored by Autogeek.net, product discussion should be limited to products that are available from Autogeek.net and PBMA's family of websites."

It says "limited"... Not, "you are NOT AT ALL suppose to talk about any other product"... Its just a show n shine, a lot o people ALWAYS mention other products on show n shine... It just amazes me how quickly people jump to say "you are not suppose to mention other non ag products".

WAXMAX: yes, I used the v7 to remove the second coat of blacklight.

Dubbin1 : this is a show off not a product review. Once the 350z comes back to me I will be doing a product review of the Dr Colorchip on A41 red which i have found to oxidize very quickly and have also reviewed other AG aquired products on this site.

I could list the fact that the machines and the pads that were used on this car are from AG. I have been searching for a slightly better bad that the CCS pads, as I have found they have limited cut and do not like using a yellow pad, the Orange Hydrofoam pad used to remove some imperfections worked out much better. The White CCS pad w a AIOt and the Red Cobra pad was used to apply the Blacklight were both from AG. :D

AG has always been a wealth of information of both AG products as well as other products from the industry. How else does AG find out what is working in real world scenarios? By users like us that do venture out and share with a nice Show n Shine article :D

AG staff quoted/PM'd me:
"Continuos mention of competitors products,It can be misconstrued as spam. Not intentional, but still its concerning to us and forum members.
Please take non-AG product discussion to Autopiaforums to open conversations on outside product lines."

IID: continous mention of a competitors product can def be misconstrued as spam

"This is a private forum and open links to other companies that are not associated with Autogeek.net will be deleted and will result in a permanent ban."

Im not linking but Showing off a recent detail that was an absolute blast to do and a wax we got just for this vehicles paint. We figure the Nissan Midnight Purple III paint would look amazing with the purple pearl optics of the Blacklight wax.

The paintwork was a fabulous new spray by Top Secret. When this car was featured on FF3:Tokyo Drift it was in its natural Bayside Blue so the tone on this car has a slightly different base than the Midnight Purple III and I will say this paint is absolutely STUNNING from blue to maroon to bronze was absolutely gorgeous. When checking out the car with the Brinkman(purchased from AG) I found only a handful of spots that needed any correction and the Hydro-Tech(purchased from AG) came to be a new favorite pad. I loved the orange low profile pads but they are a bit small for the Flex 3401(purchased from AG) and these fit nicely and cut/finish well without introducing any hazing.

Lol i like AG and the forum but this absolutely ridiculous. Who cares if mentions are made about products that AG doesn't sell? Spamming to me is making it a point to talk about a product as MUCH as you can. Even giving a review of a product AG doesnt sell is fine by me. There are a lot of great products AG doesnt sell and this forum to help people LEARN about different products and techniques. Its not like AG is struggling here..

no worries VW.

Ive read both the registration set of rules and rules found here and am not worried about not being in compliance. Ill leave it at that.

Blacklight & V7 are great products. This industry is surely big enough for everybody to share in the wealth, ideas, and information. Last time I looked, the USA economic model (where 1% of the population own 95% of the wealth)...doesn't really work very well.

That car looks stunning, and yes... I for one, am very interested to know how it was accomplished. The original poster was exited to share his knowledge, and I thought he did it tastefully without breaking any rules. I've read no AG competitor's solicitations, web links, sales promotions, or anything coming even close to that...while reading the original thread.

I would hope a majority of us are not here just for the sake of buying, selling, or talking strictly about (or getting hung up on) products...but more importantly, we are here for KNOWLEDGE.

As far as car care products are concerned, I could easily survive just fine by driving down the road 2 miles, and buying nothing but OTC Meguiar's and Duragloss products...but yet, I'm here because of the friendly atmosphere, and the wealth of knowledge that is AG.

For me, AG is about knowledge...and NOT so much about products, but sometime I have to wonder. If the day ever comes when guys like the one who posted this thread...decides to not to share his success in fear of being slammed for mentioning a competitor's product...then I will take my business elsewhere because at that point...its all about products, and not about me learning something new.

Again, no rules were broken in this case, and please...let's leave it up to the forum moderators to give the lectures...and when its appropriate, to take action. Let us all never lose sight that knowledge gained is a win-win situation for everybody.
