So, the owner of the black Aston Martin Vantage came to the shop and said he has a Mercedes for me to do. Heck, I thought it was just another car! And, he said a previous detailer made a mess out of the finish. So, I find this Lincoln Navigator sized Merc in the shop with a finish that is pretty bad.
Can we say rotary swirls boys and girls?....
So, washed this SUV and used 2 bottles of Meg's Hot Rims on the wheels....they were pitch black on the inner rims.
I decided to test the worst panel that I took a pic of. Tried Meg's 83 (which is my go-to product) and didn't do the job. So I broke out a bottle of SSR 2.5 that I haven't used in several months and it worked. Followed that with Menzerna 106 (which the Mercedes crave anyway) and the finish bounced back.
I ended up working on this big boy for 10 long hours, but the owner is super happy....and I'll have his Boxster and Ferrari in the next lineup.
Got a big car for tomorrow: Bentley Flying Spur that "must" be done in 1 day....I sure hope it's not black.
