Just finished my full detail, ( with the help of a few previous recent posts), took a while (no garage, weather, etc.), used a yellow pad instead of white, with Reflect and it did a decent job of polishing, finished with Klasse and Wetcoat. Wheels were already done in spring, black trim a few weeks ago. All looks pretty good except:

1) attached pic (not sure if I attached it right) shows some whitish spots on the black trim (pillars) between windows; it was solid black in the spring, if I recall, when I cleaned it and applied WETS, then Duragloss dressings. The other side is fine; this side faces the sun all the time. Could that be it or why

the whitish spots.View attachment 77347And what might clean it/ or will it need special black restore product? the car is only a few months old.

2) the smoked plastic above the rear window, what should I use for protection on that, and other lenses? I clean them with PlexAll, and the headlights/taillights might have a bit of Wetcoat on them.

The door pillars look like staining from a wax or polish. Is the original finish matte?

You may want to consider applying a gloss black or semi-gloss black vinyl wrap over this area which will keep them looking good and make cleaning them easier. Matte, porous plastics are very susceptible to UV fading quickly if not properly maintained regularly.

For the rear hatch spoiler, treat it the same way you treat your paint. That goes for all other plastics. I'm not familiar with PlexAll but reading its label I see that its a cleaner/polish. This isn't something I'd use for maintenance.

Original finish I guess is matte; has a bit of a sheen. But for that to be fading, shouldn't it be all over the piece? Seems odd. Gonna park the other way, out of the sun, and see if I can bring it back. I'll dress the good side again before it faces the sun.

And Plexall I thought was for maintenance. I learned about it many years ago on here. Also good for the insides of tinted windows I was told.

Raysaint, I agree with Evo's original comment that seems to be some sort of staining on the pillars--is it possible that is some sort of wax/sealant or polish residue? It can sometimes be very difficult to get that out of that textured trim. And I'll echo that probably on all your lenses and that smoked piece, your easiest solution is just to use whatever LSP you are using on the rest of the vehicle, and as always applying more often is better.

I don't know what residue it could be, the only lsp that's ever been applied was Duragloss Trim just before winter, and WETS this spring.
I'll try my app again. And what about Solution, is that just a restorer or does it remove stuff?

Solution finish? That's basically a dye.

So if I used that, it might be a different black look than the original. I haven't tried a white pencil eraser yet, or a stronger dilution apc. Worth a shot.
Thanks.
