Decided to see how good my new Blackfire (BF) stuff really does, so I did a quick exterior detail early this morning on my DD. So here's the procedure:
1. completely wash with Dawn, then washed again with BF Conditioning shampoo. Car clayed a week or two ago
2. dried and used a Griots orbital with grey pad to apply BF Total polish and seal - lightly - no real hard polishing
3. Used BF Polymer spray to remove haze and quick buff.

I was really happy it does not stain trim with white dust at all, and comes off real easy. As a mater of fact, when you are cleaning it up with the spray, you don't feel any pull of the haze on your MF. My first rule of detailing is EASY AND QUICK - and this fullfilled that - from start to finish in 50 minutes...

This is in my garage so it cures a bit - cloudy/rainy here - this is about 30 min after so I'm expecting more gloss as we go thru the day. The best way to show this is by how much the reflection is deep and this is cheap 3 yr old Honda clearcoat and paint.

Looks very nice. Thanks for sharing.

How did you like using the BF products?

Wow that Honda has some serious shine! Nice red H badge as well.

I agree, the blackfire total polish n seal is the product that has impressed me the most out of all the new offerings they have. I will admit I have not tried the tire dressings yet, but am amazed with how easy this product is to use and the look and tactile feel of protection.

the product seems pretty much fool proof. I also like the viscosity of the product and how it spreads. its nothing like poli seal or xmt 360. spreads really easily and is wetter (feeling).

agreed! and what made this a 50 minute detail...the orbital flew over the paint to apply it, it has a real nice feel and shows where you been. I don't think I've applied anything as easy as this...

50 minutes! that's like a wash and dry for me

did you have any marring to take care of?

no need for taping I'd assume

no marring and paint in great shape....

20 min to wash and dry
20 min to use orbital and pad and product - no taping, as there is no dust or white reside - no buffing so that step is gone
10 min to wipe down car with MF and BF spray

done....the point is.... it is quick and EZ, not just 50 minutes..."your mileage may vary"

ok I can see that, especially since you already clayed it a week ago, probably already had plenty of lsp on it so not much water to dry off after the wash and sheeting, no marring so basically like adding an lsp... no buffing though?

is this stuff like poliseal in that you work it clear then nothing to wipe off?

sounds like you've caught the bug bad mister...
:D

no buff......

Old thread but a great one. Glen how is durabilty? I might switch to this to save time over using a polish and then bfwd.
Plan would be tp&s and then CS.
