EXTREMELY DELAYED and I apologize greatly for that. Life/family got the best of me last fall and I was unable to continue with my hobbies...family first. That being said, I am a man of my word and wanted to show/tell my experience with this particular product since Nick was so gracious to let me try it out. The test subject was my personal vehicle, a 2013 Silverado LTZ. I figured I would test it out on this vehicle since it gets driven the most and could show the most wear to test the durability of the product. Since most of the reviews for it that i have seen haven't shown many of the "months down the road" of the product.

I applied the product first to my rear bumper, the front valence, and under the hood. Also i did not just apply this product. I did a test between Blackfire T&TS and Meguiar's Ultimate Black (as seen in the pictures. On every portion, i split it 50/50. Honestly, after applying it, from first appearances, the Megs seem to look darker, it took two coats of the Blackfire to get to what the Megs looked like in terms of darkness from one coat. I first cleaned the areas with an APC to make sure they weren't dirty to begin with. Then began with the application itself. The passenger side of the vehicle was always with the Megs, and the Driver's side was always with the Blackfire.

At first I was amazed at how i couldn't tell a difference in the two. I figured the longevity would be the ultimate deciding factor. I also figured i'd change it up a bit and step outside the box for what the product might have been intended. My truck has a Roll N Lock on it. Well, if you've ever seen one, the case at the front of the bed that the cover rolls into, ALWAYS turns this awful shade of brown. On every one of them i've seen they always turn this color. The material is aluminum, but it has some sort of rubberized coat so i've been told from Roll N Lock. you can't tell this from feeling it though, as it still feels metal. I decided i would give it a try. I cleaned the surface again with an APC and made sure it was clean, as you can tell, no i did not clean the rest of the box or the bed haha, sorry.

By the way, on all of it i used a microfiber applicator. a little goes a long way with this product by the way. it covers very smoothly.

Just the Blackfire applied. And my helper..

After the same amount was applied to the other side with Megs. As you can tell it did make it darker. So i went back and did a second coat with Blackfire to make it even.

After 2 months of being on there. With regular washing and going to my farm with about a two mile stretch of dirt road, the water beading with both of these amazes me. I always have not liked the Megs or the Mother's back to black considering i didn't think the "look of them" stayed very black for very long at all. Honestly, neither did the blackfire. But this is today. its cold and rainy. Both products beaded like a champ and this is two months after. They are obviously doing their job at protecting the area, and you can tell that color stayed the same.

Overall, my opinion is about equal and i would not have pegged that to begin with. Especially considering the price difference of the two. I would say that i'm thoroughly impressed at how Megs achieves this protection with the cost they have it set for. The Blackfire product did leave it less of a greasy feel though. I tried it on one of my tires, got about 1/4 of the way around and figured it would take so much of the product that i wouldn't be able to do all of them (my tires are not the little low profile sports car tires). I would imagine that it would not leave them the way i like them which is a little more of a wet feel (still looking for the product to achieve this and last by the way).

Oh and to top the long awaited review, i had planned on washing my truck off and posting a picture of the rear bumper and the protection they did on it, when i went out to my truck at work and saw that someone had apparently not seen the 50ft of parking lot to the left and decided to take out my rear end instead.

All in all, i appreciate Nick and Autogeek for giving me the opportunity. My review on the DP power wash was much better, and honestly made me a buyer in the future, i will be purchasing that until somebody can prove something is better, because i love that car wash. This product did well in protection, just didn't rise above the rest when it comes to color. Thanks again guys!

WOW. That's all I can say really....So if any of you are from the south, especially Mississippi, you know that we've had some ridiculous weather this past month. From snow, to sleet and ice, to just downpour rain. Basically we haven't had a day of sunshine in a long while. Today was cloudy, but it looks like the rain has moved out until closer to the end of the week so I decided to wash my truck finally. From my previous review, you can see that i wasn't thoroughly impressed with the Blackfire Trim and Tire Sealant. Well, my opinion has changed! I guess it just took another month and harsher weather to show the durability comparison of the two. Anyway. As you can see from my previous pictures, i did Ultimate Black on the passenger side, and Blackfire on the driver's side of my roll n lock canister box.

what's the most amazing to me, is that you can actually see the line where i stopped and split the product to the ultimate black! So now, i would definitely change my mind to highly recommend this product as it is much more durable than ultimate black. The Ultimate black did change the color more (darker) than the blackfire did, but an extra coat will take care of that... anyway, here are the pictures from today!
