Just ordered some and I will compare on my wifes black Cadillac as soon as it gets here. I will do 1/2 hood with Black Diamond and 1/2 hood with Megs Ultimate Liquid wax. !/2 trunk BWD and the other with Colonite 845.

i'm interested in what your findings are mark... can you post them once the 'test' is done?

Good luck with your test!!

I understand that this test is being ran using your testing protocols.

-But I've often wondered: If a sealant, that contains carnuba or other natural waxes, falls within the definition of "true sealants" (synthetic), or not.
-Same with waxes that contain "synthetic sealant ingredients".

-Makes it difficult to run an "apples to apples" comparison test sometimes, IMO.

-Anyway...Interesting choice of LSP's you have chosen to "compare/test".

This test is just to get a piece of mind for myself. Although I am doing this with open mind I am not to sure there will be ANY visible difference. Time will tell.

I understand....Been there before myself!

BTW:
I really like Meg's Ultimate Liquid Wax.
(I'm curious why they keep it under "lock&key" at my local auto supply houses, though)

I got mine at Autozone!

Make sure you polish the paint surface first before applying the Blackfire Wet Diamond.

Me too!
But it wasn't stocked on the shelf...Had to take a "pick-me-card" to the service counter.

Is it because it's considered a precious commodity (YES!...IMO); or, the neighborhood {:D} I frequent for OTC products (I like to get-in/get-out, if you know what I mean .)

The surface was polished and re-polished few times with Megs microfiber D300 once and Ultimat polish few times. No scratches, no swirls, no hazing, just shine which I will use Ultimate polish one more time before I apply any product.:props:

I'm trying BFWD and Meg's #20 poly seal side by side this winter . BFWD is outperforming Meg's in nearly everyway, IMHO. Meg's gets a slight edge when it comes to reflecting rich colors (like green road signs), but BFWD is much better for crisp, clear reflections, and pretty much everything else. Applied to my light silver metallic Audi A6 hood. It wil be a while before the durability is really known, but BFWD seems to be doing better there.

Also topped BFWD with PB Natty's Red on my other car and that looks stellar.

Well received my BFWD this morning and I done a test spot on Black Caddilac trunk. 1/2 trunk BFWD and the other 1/2 Colonite 845. My findings are as follow. Both products easy to apply. After about 30 minutes (in 70 degree heated garage) it was time to wipe down. BWD was much easier to remove and I will add that it is one of the easiest product to remove. As far as clarity, reflection and depth I honestly can not see any visible difference. Next test will be to take it out in the sun if we ever get any here. As far as longevity It does not matter to me since the car is in the garage most of the time. I will also follow up on the hood with 1/2 hood BFWD and the other 1/2 with Megs Ultimate Liquid Wax. IMHO I am not looking for much, if any changes.
Would I buy BFWD again,,Yes just for ease of application and removal if nothing more.
Some of you might not agree with my findings and that is ok since my findings are not scientifically based just my observations.:props:
