Ask away. That is what this forum is for.

Darn Black was sold out when I went to purchase, will try again in a few weeks

Here's the links to both of my reviews.

For the Pro Ceramic Coating I use an old 2-door Ford - AND my writ-up is basically a step-by-step how-to book on how to prep and install a coating.

Major difference is most likely the resin and the bonding agent in it. Most claims of hardness is not relevant except for the fact that it does tell you of the concentration of siloxane in the actual resin that goes on your paint. I'm guessing Black Edition has a much denser concentration of SiO2 in the resin vs Pro edition. Pro edition is also most likely a single layer of resin with SiO2 and a bonding agent underneath while Black Edition has the layer of SiO2 resin but also has a more concentrated crosslinking agent mixed in with the SiO2 mixture along with a different siloxane component on top to slow down oxidation.

Great chemistry information to keep us grounded, keep it going.

I'm just super into the chemistry behind coatings. They're expensive, helps me decide whether or not I want to use a product or not.

what a pain I ordered Meguiars ultimate polish....now they say its back ordered...I am going to apply ceramic coating....can anyone recomend a different polish

I still have those 303 polishes. They are looking for a good home. I have no use for them.

thanks for the offer....I like to pay for it...all I need is the polish...

You should see them hopefully by the weekend. You can pay me back by using them and giving them a good home. That is the point of that thread over on Autopia. To pay it forward.

You will have 303 Polish Step 2 which is a medium cut polish and 303 Finishing Polish Step 3 which is a finishing polish. Step 2 has a little more cut. You can play around with both of them.

USPS tracking number 9405503699300480945883. Enjoy.

Awesome of you, Mike. You are a great guy and one of the most respected members on AGO for a reason. :)

Hey Frank. Next time, maybe PM your personal info.

AGO is pretty friendly, but you never know...

DiMiglio might send you one of those God-awful Chicago-style pizzas.

C.O.D.!

I see Frank doesn’t live super far away from me. I’ve always liked driving through that PVB area

Gino’s delivers Fed-Ex...my wife bought me a pizza from Gino’s years ago for my birthday! It tastes pretty close to the real thing.

BTW...my wife is from Syracuse and we have Grimaldis once a week or every other week!
