Blake Phelps 1956 Ford F100 - BLACKFIRE One Step


I'm just sharing a pictures sent to me via e-mail. I've been sharing new tools, products and pads with Blake over the phone. He lives in New Orleans.


I encouraged him to join the forum as this is where I share articles and information of value. FB is popular but it's a horrible interface for sharing any info of substance and/or value and it's a lot harder for Google to find it over time.


Here's what Blake sent me in two different FB messages and then the pictures below via e-mail.


Hello Mike,

Great photos and information you have given me in the last few months. Its a new world in the circle of detail tools and products. Many things going on from many different mfg's. Will start 56 ford pickup tomorrow with the Blackfire One Step.

Thanks for all your professional advice. Will be looking for a school in the future I can attend.

This is a real-time review in that I just received the latest incarnation of this product yesterday. The beta versions I tested worked great but I think the before and after pictures below show this newest version is the new Speed Killer.


I've only used the product for one section and that was to do my Test Spot. I'll update this post later today with my final thoughts after buffing out this entire car. Until then... like the saying goes...

It's SO IMPORTANT to take the time to get GREAT BEFORE PICTURES.

It's the BEFORE pictures that document how great you are, not the after pictures. You can always take after pictures but you only have one chance to get the before shots to show everyone just how horrible the car looked before you put your healing hands onto it.

Thank you for this post! BTW, My Dream Truck is the 1956 Ford F100. I would retro-mod it and Black is the color I would choose. What a BEAUTIFUL RIDE!
