I have a fender that needs fixed and resprayed. There are also several rock chips on the hood with one particularly large one only a couple inches from the fender, which should be well within where the body shop will extend the blend into.
I am considering using this opportunity to practice my wet sanding to fix rock chips (I've never done a wet sand before).
Is this a really bad idea? If I screw up the wet sand will the error be corrected when the body shop does the blend?
