Thinking of adding a car dryer to my list of tools/toys to speed the drying process.

Any advice for choosing between the DP Turbo Dryer and the Metro Air Force Commander?

The dp turbo dryer is a great choice and with these sales it makes it even better...

I'm one of the few people here that actually owned a Commander. It was OK for most things, but not as good as the Master Blaster. Honestly, I don't even use the Master Blaster anymore.

Instead of this, I just use DI water and a Metro Sidekick. The MB is a real PIA to drag around and store.

Just rinse the car with DI water and come back in a few hours and use a QD. No real drying to do.

I've never used the Metro Commander but have both the Metro Master Blaster 8HP and the DP Turbo Car Dryer. I haven't used the DP Turbo Car Dryer to dry a car yet (I just got it a few days ago) but did use it to blow leaves off my drive way!

Don't ask why I got both, I still don't know why I got both. Haha. The only downside to the Master Blaster 8HP is the requirement of a 20amp breaker. If you do have 20amp and the funds then the Master Blaster is better.

However, the DP Turbo Dryer is also a very capable dryer (based from my quick test of blowing leaves. You won't be disappointed with it.

I modified my masterblaster. I took the casters off and mounted it on a backpack blower harness. Shortened the hose and put a 50 foot cord on. Installed a 20 amp service outlet with a switch to eliminate trying switching on and off while it's on my back. For our shop it works very well.

I love the Metro Sidekick too. Best investment I made this year. Not only is it great to dry nook and crannies around the car but it`s also very useful to blow away leaves and other tree debris from the area bellow the windshield and in the crease over the trunk. Saves me so much time I would purchase it just for that task.
