I think that's the name of the color anyway. Pretty good condition and decent miles (41/k), so it was a "quickie" (only 20 hours) for me LOL.

Used 3M Perfect-It 3000 with a wool pad for the compound work, followed by 3M Glaze, then Ultrafina SE, and finally, a power wash with a coat of Meguiar's #26. Removed with high quality mf towels while the cars was still wet. Dust free and towel scratch free.

Too bad the sun wasn't out....the color is stunning!

Back to black on a 530i for the next one!

Great job Richard. Out of ten cars you do, how many are black?

I did one of those this week too, had black interior though, Ive got a tore up black 05 330 vert for the a.m. 20K miles looks like 80K I'll take plent of pix to post

You brought that car to better then new condition Richard. I don't know how you turn out such beautiful work time after time, but you do. I'm not sure what state you live in, but if I ever decide to buy a used BMW, I would honestly make the trip to your area just knowing that you had laid hands on the car. I have the impression the people you work for don't try to unload lemons on their clients, and that along with accepting nothing less then perfection with your details would seal the deal for me. Thanks for sharing the pictures, you are the best.

I live in Kansas and the dealer is just across the state line in Missouri. He is definitely one of those rare car dealers that absolutely demands perfection in mechanical and appearance cars. He will not buy an auction car without doing a VIN history for mechanical and also any signs of repainting. Negatives on either side of those 2 factors will cause him to pass on the bid.

Plus, he jumps right in with a rotary and puts me to shame on finish work....

don't know if I can share his website but it is: BavarianAG

His son takes wonderful pics of the cars as well.

Nope, other than darken trim somewhat because of the oils in it.

Good, good stuff for a final product.

Toto
And it is great for BMW trim, they use a harder less poris(sp) plastic on most of there older(e39, e46 etc) that will really enhance the look, Toto I checked out your dealers site, great stuff...he only does BMW's? How has business been? My main dealer Gordon Motor Sports Specials
was a bit off for a few weeks but really picked up last week, he has been crushing me, 17 hrs yesterday, good thing because of winter retail and my smaller lot has been slow

So the black rubber trim at the bottom of the side windows would get stained?

I wouldn't say "stained". It will darken that trim somewhat. If you want to see a sample of how #26 looks on trim: apply some to the flat black side window panels on the front/rear doors. Remove the product without waiting for it to dry and you will see the difference.

Clay He's been in business since the mid-80's and yes, he sells only used BMW's. He does get other cars on trade-in, but wholesales them out and I never touch them. Business wise, it's been off a little, but I've got a dozen cars in my line up, so I'll be busy for the next month.

Well as long as it doesnt turn it light gray or white then im fine with it.

how was the clearcoat on that car by the way? my mother is asking me to do some polishing on her car and its the 325i version with the same paint color.
