I polished a white top of deck that was dull and no shine. (Sorry no pics). The boat owner clean it with Clorox toilet cleaner that had abrasive (green) and the hull. He said it was black with mildew, the hull didn't have mildew. It did clean it white but it was dull with no shine, but only the hull had some shine. I was able to get a reflection. (I used Meguiar's Power Cut Compound.)
I sand the top with 1000, 2000 and 300 the second attempt cause the first attempt there was barely any shine. After the sanding I got shine but looks blotchy with dully shine here and there. Only the hull had the paint or color was blotchy cause the sun but had reflection.
Is that normal because it was just too neglect? This was my first boat task. I did also used Wool pad with rotary buffer. :buffing:
