Hey guys and girls :D Me and my gf bought a dog yesterday, the breed is a Cairn Terrier.

Some facts on the breed:

Today the Cairn Terrier in America is a sensible, confident little dog, independent but friendly with everyone he meets. He may be found in an apartment, suburban home, or on a farm. Alert, intelligent and long-lived, the Cairn tends to remain active and playful well into his teen years, endearing him to children. True to his heritage, the breed still has very large teeth, large feet with thick pads and strong nails (the better to dig with!), strong, muscular shoulders and rears, and a fearless tenacity that will lead him into trouble if his owners are irresponsible. The Cairn Terrier Club of America is dedicated to promoting the welfare of the Cairn Terrier and wants to help you decide if a Cairn Terrier is the right dog to share your life.

Its a she, and I have named her Trixi :D

I have had two dogs before, so its not my first!

GREAT PUP!.....as they all are when they get a good owner. I've rescued many dogs (mostly neglected pitbulls until our city banned the breed) and they have all been wonderful animals.

My next dog is going to be a BoerBoel which is a South African breed. Very powerful animals and very loyal to a family.

Here's a sample pic of the breed...they typically weigh 140 pounds and stand at 26" shoulder height.

Have fun raising your pup....and like Truls said...watch those foam pads and mf towels or they'll be shredded.

What a cute puppy! Haha yeah watch out for your towels and pads :p I have read someone having his pads torn apart..the thread is somewhere around AG. TOo bad my dad let the dog out that I found :( or else I would have had a dog too hahah.

That is a cute pup, and looks like he will grow to be a handsome beast.

Bought a dog with your gf, eh? You are on a slippery slope my friend! First is the dog, then engagement, marriage and of course children! It's a matter of time.
 
She's a cutie. I've heard that the Cairn Terrier is one of the most friendly dogs on earth. The dog in The Wizard of Oz, "Toto", was a Cairn Terrier. Always wanted one but wound up with my little buddy, a Jack Russell. Anyway, congratulations on your new buddy, Trixi.

Totoland Mach: Thanks Toto ;) Great that you have helped pitbulls, most of the owners should never had one. They are not allowed in Norway either. But they are great dogs, if you know how to take care of a dog!

She's a cutie! I have a Welsh Terrier aka as the Welsh Terror. Have fun with the new pup, she'll bring much joy to your life and she'll steal your heart.

Trixie is a cutie! Congrats to the both of you with your new friend.
I like the pic of her eating out of the bowl and then straddling the bear. LOL
 
Congrats buddy, she is very cute. I have two inside dogs and two outside dogs. Oh yea 5 cats:eek: . But they all love each other!LOL!!!

Very cute puppy. Lots of fun to be had now with the new addition and better have the camera ready cause there will be plenty of Kodak moments with a pup around.
