Couldn't resist. It's a Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG Macro. I didn't have much time to play with it since it was getting dark, my first shot ended up being the only decent one!​

looks really good man be carful at that 300mm tho it will feel like theres a tornado goin on ur hand shakes so much lol....
 
I know exactly what you're talking about Scott! I had to put this one on my tripod and put the timer on to make it look decent. This pic was taken at 300mm, but not on the macro mode.
 
Nice close up p1et. The variations in colors on the leaf are very good.
 
Nice! What camera body are you attaching it to?

I just bought my wife the Nikon D40, and she is looking at getting a new zoom lense.

hopefully after bustin out my souveran and dgps on these ferraris i can pull enough to grab me that darn 2.8 lense ive always wanted =)

and if you have a canon...ehh...well....yanno the story...haha j/m show up some more test pix!

hey ericfine50 hows that workin out for you...i havent really researched the newer nikon models, but im sure you cant go wrong with them

Nice pic P1et, some pics just end up "right" imo.. and that one was one, i know when i have to scrool back up again too look at it once more..
 
Thanks guys! Yes, I have a Rebel XT, I guess you saw that in the exif? I couldn't pass up on the great deal they were letting it go for. Nikon is fantastic as well, I'm not partial to either brand whatsoever.

Cannot wait to play with it a little bit more this weekend.
