I was very pleased with my initial Autogeek order, just placed another one...

1) 3x Pinnacle Foam Wax Applicators
2) 6x Cobra Mango Microfiber Towels
3) 1x Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay

Did I make some good decisions? I need some new clay for my truck and some applicators for my Natty's Blue. And I can always use some extra microfibers...

I cannot seem to order without picking up a couple extra micro's either. On the foam applicators, I like to buy them in bulk.

I was so tempted to order a pack of those mango towels. Unfortunately, reality hit and I had to remove some items.

I agree that autogeek has some really good stuff and great service. I just placed my second order and am dying to try the stuff (sealant, OCW, etc.) I'm thinking sneaking in a pack of mf's each order from now on. The general purpose polishing cloths are the ones I need the most.

Those are all great products, I can't comment on what else you need without knowing what you have. Good purchase though.

I love the ultra poly clay. I like to clay often to make sure my car stays contaminant free so that product was made for me. :)

I think you will be very pleased with the Ultra Poly Clay. I've used mine a couple of times and it is great! However, on one car it was not "gettin' it done" so I switched to Clay Magic. It sems to me the Ultra Poly is perfect for a car that has previously had a tougher clay job. I hope to soon try out the DP Clay.

you are exactly right Reddwarf. Ultra Poly Clay is an "enthisiasts clay" for tough contamination you really need the heavy duty stuff, but to maintain your detailed car contaminant free Ultra Poly is great because you can use it as often as you want and it won't compromise your wax or sealant. :D

Can I be the sole person with a dissenting opinion and claim they were less than impressed with the Mango's ?
The miracle towels.. are excellent.. the mango's, well... they leave little bits of mango on my dash and some other interior parts....
they did hold up in the wash though....
I will probably not buy them again, for those light duty MF applications, I use the cheapies at BJ's (25 for $10) and they work great...(Dash, windows, wheels....)
and are thicker....

I was a little disapointed with the Mango's as well i was expecting quite a thick towel but there very thin, so i use them as general work towels or on glass, not had any problems with mango bits coming off them.

I have never experienced little bits coming off of my mango towels either. But can I say that the mango towel is just one towel in a line of many. Detailers benefit from having several types of towels in their arsenal to tackle various jobs and with the mango's lower price point it provides a more economical choice for the detailing tasks that don't require a super plushy MF. I prefer the mango MF's to the MF's that are sold through the wholesale clubs whose edges always seem a bit stiff and scratchy to me. Just my 2 cents.

Next time I wipe my dash down on my car, I will take a pic... The Mango bits definitely come off... And I think they even came off on my windows as well....
Definitely my last Mango purchase... and if I remember correctly, they were cheaper last month..... Ughh.. staying away from those!
But like I said, the Miracles are excellent.. although pricey at $10.
I also purchased the Sooper Dooper soft, light blue towel.. but its so nice and soft, Im afraid to use it... :)

The "executive choice" at BJ's are a compelling buy... 25 decent MF's for $9.99.

I actuallly did the complete leap of faith with them and did a PB Spray and Wipe on my minivan's hood.. the van hasnt been washed in months... I did use alot of S&W though.. just in case.... but no scratching that I could see....
Wouldnt do this on my new dark blue car though.... ;)

Bill sounds like it's Pinnacle, i now clay the car once a month and it doesn't remove the wax

Awww crap, that doesn't sound very promising about the mango microfibers. I was very pleased with the green and blue ones, but would have to get jipped on the mango ones just because I wanted to save $2.

Also, the Poly Clay looked like a good options for my truck as it's pretty clean, I just need to get some overspray off...

Yes it is Pinnacle that makes the ultra poly clay. http://www.autogeek.net/piulpoclkit.html Man, I'm sorry to hear that the mangos shed all over your dash. :( I use the BJ's ones too, but mostly for wheels or for cleaning in my house. But AG has excellent customer service so if you are not satisfied talk to Meghan. I've never seen a company that bends over backwards for their customers the way that AG does.

FloridaNative...

Thanks for the suggestion... Although I will just take my lumps with these Mango's and use them for other duty.. I'll "pull out that card" (talking to Meghan about a product) when its really necessary...

Hey are we talking about me like I am not in the room LOL! :p

FloridaNative, I wish I would have seen that package! Seems to be better value than spending $19 on the clay and then $18 on the towels.

ARGH!!!

I have the Mango's and rather like them. I use them for polish removal. Never any sheading. Sounds like the were not washed correctly, or washed with other (non micros) towels.
