Ive been trying to sell my 1998 Boxster for about 10 days. Proceeds to get in the detailing business. I'm on car trader, ebay motors, and craig's list. No serious bites. I've gone from $18,999 all the way to $10,999. It's a gem of a car. Any ideas? I appreciate all comments.

Take a good look at this Porsche... If you are in the market for a destined to be classic that's incredibly fun to drive and take care of... this is it! I have been the proud owner of this car for over 4 years. Originally owned by a Ponte Vedra attorney that hardly drove it. I bought it at 23k miles. At 39k on my birthday (!), the engine let go. Brumos Porsche installed a new one ($10k). So, in effect this car has 25k miles on it. The loan value according to my credit union is $15500.00. This miledge alone makes this Boxter unique. I'll explain the other factors.
This car originally sold for $49,975. (see orig sticker). To be a true investment sport's car it must first have been relatively pricey. A Cavalier GT wouldn't qualify. Also, this car unlike more recent versions has remained true to the original designer's intent. Think 550 Spyder.
This car has the Tiptronic transmission ($3213). It has the special Boxster Red interior ($2370.).Power seat pkg (dual) ($1520). Arctic Silver Mettalic paint ($805). CD shelf center console. Dual air bags with side airbags.
Now, we get to what I have done.
Look at these photos carefully. I didn't think the original "peanut" headlights contributed to the visual flow of the car. I had German trims body painted and installed. Much better. At the same time I had the rear black! bumperettes body painted. The EVO intake system (installed by Seth@Technical Dimentions) really improved the hp and throttle response. He also installed a Borla stainless dual exhaust. This gives the car the look and sound of the later "S" model. I added a $650. German luggage rack. This is VERY handy, removable, and I think adds to the classic roadster look. The original Porsche wheels are to my knowledge, unique. The price includes a little used expensive Porsche car cover. The console has some custom touches. Red leather trim, black suede switch trim. The back rest wind deflectors are silver outside, boxster red inside. The price includes a set of $200. black cocoa mats. Sony am/fm/cd with extra door speakers. I had to have the $75 Porsche billet gas cap also!
All service records, original sticker, manuals are present. I hate selling this! I almost forgot! Notice the replacement Porsche (expensive) clear (not orange) taillights and side marker lights. MUCH better. I also forgot the price includes great black seat covers.
