A long time ago I paint my calipers on my MINI and used Dupli-Color IIRC and it came out great.

I thought I used a brush on but it was ceramic like that.

G2 caliper kit. Better look and more durable than the VHT spray can paint.

I've always used the non-spray Dupli-Color caliper kits that come with the brush and cleaner etc (though I always use a better brush)...

G2 kits are the std if you brush on. Tip: get a good brush from Lowe’s, the brush that comes with the kit sucks… Duplicolor works good for a spray. Another tip is absolutely make sure that the caliper is devoid of grease or silicones before you paint. I do a few washes with acetone before I start, on the entire caliper. I’ve done 5-6 sets over the years, I prefer a brush on.

Yes, I was very surprised by how good this was. I helped my brother with his Mustang this weekend and the paint match was very good for a difficult color. (Windveil Blue)

Color is hard to see in pictures.

Stay away from VHT. It's terrible!
Chips super easy. The "clear" is actually yellow & made the caliper stickers dull. And worst, it's so soft, got a little brake clean on it and wiped the paint off.

Car paint on a caliper? I mean it looks fantastic because it matches but I'd be worried about long term durability

Car paint works fine for a normal driver. However if you are racing the car, or drive the car hard, or live in a hilly area with long downgrades, you might have a problem. But for a daily driver , car paint works fine.

I went with POR 15 caliper paint.
All the bad reviews were pretty much guys that didn't prep correctly.
I use a wire wheel on a drill then Brakleen. Then a wipe down with laquer thinner.with a white rag.
I think it will be fine.
Here's the first coat

I used this exact stuff on my Honda HRV brakes, three years later when I turned in the car the brakes still looked perfect.

Recently did this upon request. G2 caliper paint. Brembo vinyl’s added.

It self levels. You won’t see brush marks.
Same with the POR 15..
However I wouldn't recommend doing this when it's 95°. It dries pretty fast in the heat.
I think it looks good on my truck, big improvement.
The thing with red is it looks good with chrome or black wheels.

You can really see the reflection in the barrel.
