Brush to clean trim and badges on paint

Hi guys

What kind of brush can I use when cleaning trim and badges that are on the paint surface?

I don’t want to use something that could potentially scratch or mark the paint.

Thanks!
 
I prefer to heavily hose down the area or pressure wash prior touching any painted surface to avoid scratches.

Any soft detail brush that autogeek carries will do the job
 
I use a soft 1 inch round paintbrush. If you soak the surface with soap, and you don't apply much pressure, there is no reason you would damage the paint. You could also use steam, that would not damage anything either.

Those Mothers brushes are great for exterior trim. They’re also great for badges and emblems if and when they’re really dirty and need a real cleaning, but if a light cleaning is all that’s needed just use a small detailing brush with car soap.
 
Any brush can cause swirl marks. Use plenty of lube and a light touch. I prefer a plastic tool with a microfiber wrapped around the tip.
 
I use a Pastry Brush I picked up at Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $3--has very soft Boar Bristles and works great at cleaning tight areas without leaving behind scratches.
