A couple questions regarding the B&S maroon polishing pad. After looking at this pad, it seems to be the same or similar to the Meguiars maroon cutting pad. So I'm assuming that it's more aggressive than a Lake Country orange light cutting pad. I'm just trying to figure out where it fits in relation to my other pads.

Yes. More aggressive than the LC orange foam pad.

Actually, it's pretty sharp. Great cutting pad. I show this in my classes and use it myself. If the paint is soft - it will leave marring.

And - come to think of it - it is similar to the Meguiar's maroon foam cutting pad which is also quite sharp.

Mike is spot-on. I use them and put them between an orange pad and wool on my list of tools when cutting. German Cars, some Chevy and Ford trucks have proven worthy of using it on moderate to heavy swirls, etc. I find they work GREAT with Rupes UHS polish for a nice one-step on certain paints. They will leave slight marring on soft paints thus it won't be a one step and even on harder surfaces it may not finish out perfect. They do however last and are far more durable than the Rupes UHS Pads or even their green pads.
