Hello again autogeekonline. Anybody have experience with the IAP Bufferstick or the Wool ball attachments for the drill for use on wheels/rims? Which has performed better? I need an attachment to buff chrome and polished aluminum wheels with. If i'm missing out on something else, please feel free to mention the product. Thanks.

Feed back please

I have used the Powerball Mini or the Wool Balls for years without issue on uncoated aluminum wheels. I did recently start using quad -0- steel wool for tips however.

Thanks killr. I'm actually considering purchasing the mother's ball combo. But if the power cone was manufactured better (as much as the power balls), i definitely would go for it since the shape easily gets into tight spots. I read on the comments that they easily fall off the drill bit they're stuck to.

If i may ask another question, in your experience which performs better as far as polishing goes, the wool ball or the power balls?

I've not read this - have a link?

I do know the PowerCone can be damaged by using a drill with too much torque and jamming it into a small area while at a high speed.

It's on AG store. Open the power cone and there are 3 comments there. 2 of which state it didn't even last through a wheel.

I guess the instructions are only as good as the person reading them.

The PowerBall products are so easy to use it's not even funny -- just don't be an idiot and jam the thing somewhere it's too small to fit. You want to use finesse, not brut force.

This is the Mini on some nasty old wheels...

And heck, if Chip Foose uses the Cone, it must be good!

Please don't confuse our BufferStick Bufferstick Wheel Polishing Tool, drill polishing tool, buffing tool with the Mother's cone. Our Bufferstick is one solid strong peice of poly urethane foam, which is the same foam we use to make high speed buffing pads. Also we use a non marking safe fiberglass shaft. The foam is coarse and great for scrubbing dirty wheels clean. Finally, we have soft microfiber bonnets which allow you to polish and wax, and then remove that residue just by changing the bonnet.

I love the Mothers Mini and never saw any failure, infact I need to get some replacement heads because I use them so often on my Iforged Wheels. Cleans up rather easy with our DP Rejuvinator. I have not had the pleasure of trying the Edge product, so no comment. Maybe I'll ask Meghan to toss one into next order and report findings.

Your bufferstick has TERRIBLE reviews though. Why is that?
