I have some polished aluminum wheels that have oxidation and crap all over them.. i started to buff them by hand with some mothers metal polish and its working but its taking forever.

Ive been looking at mothers powerball

But i figure theres a better tool out there that attaches to my porter cable. Am i wrong? is the powerball good enough?

I would go with the powerball as it would be easier to use on a wheel compared to a PC.

I have deep dishes but was hoping there would be some half sphere for a DA that would let me get into the dishes...

Power ball works nice and the cone shaped one
is also handy. I just polished out a jeep with
heavily oxidized rims and it restored them to
almost chrome looking.

Lately ive been reading a lot and seems IronX could help you get those wheels looking new in a glimpse. Im actually pulling the trigger on the 500ml as we speak :)

I couldnt imagine trying to do it with a PC even with 4" pads. But when theres a will there's a way!

I've used a PC with a 4" pad but it's not easy. The orbit of the machine makes it difficult. A rotary would work much better and I've seen attachments for rotaries that you can use a bugging wheel with.

I would get the power cone or the Meguiars cone and use that. It works well and really isn't that expensive since you can get a lot of use out of it.

^agree! DA makes it very hard bc rims aren't flat and have tight space.

Use rotary and high speed, >1500RPM, and agressive pad/compound bc the material is very hard.
