I have a relatively new (<one year old, <10k miles) Jaguar X-Type that has typical plastic bumpers that are color-matched to the body color (light blue). I have some scratches on the front bumper. Can anyone advise what I can use to remove these scratches and what is a good product to use on the bumpers to maintain their new appearance? My immediate concern is removing (or at least lessening) the scratches. But I'd also like to know what I can use on a regular basis to keep the bumpers from fading over time.

All suggestions gratefully received.

As far as the scratches... If they are deep, I wouldn't mess with them. Paints on european cars tend to be slightly more delicate then American cars, and using an abrasive pad might do more harm then good. Id you want to try, use a swirl remover and a D.A. like the PC 7274. A orange pad is as abrasive as i would go on plastic.

As ar as keeping them looking new... Treat them like you treat the body... Wax and Seal... You can never OVER wax.
