So to start off with this is my first Show 'n' Shine... Also my first independent paint correction.

This car was a pain!!!! I have always heard Cadillac clear coat was rock hard but my goodness!!! If it's that hard how can it get so many swirls?? Anyhow I started of with a very rough canvas as seen below....

I of course washed it and after realizing it had been recently waxed when I sprayed it down used dawn instead of my regular wash. Followed that up with clay bar to make sure everything went off without a hitch. The trunk was used as a test spot and probably took me well over an hour to make a decision on the best combination for the job. The winning combo for this clear ending up being a rather odd combination of Meguiars microfiber kit used with 105 to cut instead of the compound that comes with it. As we all know the microfiber kit takes a long time! so this cars exterior took me around 40 hours to complete also I used Black Fire to add pop to the metal flake, but the end result looks great in my opinion! Here are the pics.

Sorry for some reason it wouldn't allow me to edit post #2...

Goal was an 80% correction.

Beautiful job on a really nice car. I have an 05 STS and I don't find the clear to be extra hard. I've never had any problem removing swirls or scratches.

Great job on that pretty rare Cadillac. Looks to me like you achieved more than 80% correction. Im sure you owner was more than pleased.

Keep it up!

Thats a Corvette w/ Cadillac emblems. I love those cars!

Nice job!

Thanks guys, going to finish it up the rest of the way tomorrow still have to do the interior... this car seriously took me well over 30 hours just on exterior crazy stuff...

I saw this car before and after. Jordan has done outstanding work! The pictures don't do it justice!
