CamSpray connection question

Hey all,

Question for the Cam Spray foamer owners. I've attached a photo to simplify it.

Basically, Part 2 only seems to want to go into Part 1 (connection A) about halfway. I just wanted to know if this should be expected to go all the way in before I really torque down on it. I do notice some white film in the threads of Part 1, not sure if it's residue or some kind of loctite.

If you look at the adaptor it is a tapered fitting it will only go in so far.I would use some plumbers tape in it first

Harley Guy is right on it ! TEflon Plumbers Tape is the residue you see. Use three wraps in the oppisite direction of how it screws in. But the 1/2" width for this fitting. There should be about 4 or 5 threads showing when it is in all the way.

Guess I have been away from here too long. I get that this is to spread a nice layer of soap.... but where can i get one? Did a search here and its not sold here.
