Can clay go bad?

You'll have to see. It can dry out and become too hard. I can also become too sticky so you can't get the residue off of your hand or the paint.

If it’s still in the plastic wrap and hasn’t been exposed to extreme temps to the point where it would’ve melted or something, I think it’d be perfectly fine to use.

I was just using some of that Meg's fine white clay that must be 20 years old. Does Meg's even sell clay anymore?

My thoughts too. I have some clay so old I can't remember when I bought it. I keep my unused pieces in a Ziplock bag and it seems to preserve them for a really long time too.
