You have just finished claying the car and getting ready for the next step, in my case XMT360.

A quick squall blows through and wets the car.

OK to dry the car and pick back up where I left off? Or do I need to start all over again?

(I hear rainwater is soft.)

I would spray it down with water then dry. Then go at it, with the xmt.
The reason I would hose it off, is I have seen collected rain water before with floating particles.

You could wash it if your are paranoid but if it just sat there and havent drove it around I would take a good QD and just wipe it down. Rain picks up small dust and dirt particles in the air as it comes down so thats the point in QD.

Not good...

Of course this is from when I lived in the Mojave Desert and it's very sandy and dusty there.

:)

Out comes the hose one more time. Thanks for helping me out. I will follow with the QD/MF wipe down.
