Do you get double the life by adding a second coat of sealant over the first?

e.g.
Griots Sealant over XMT360
4*UPP over XMT360
4*UPP over 4*UPP
WG3.0 over 4*UPP

Griots Sealant over XMT360) maybe never used griots
4*UPP over XMT360) yes
4*UPP over 4*UPP) a must if you want it to last and it looks awesome
WG3.0 over 4*UPP) yes

You can use one product over another product but sooner or later you'll reach the point of diminishing returns.

Best thing to do is to apply the first product of choice to the car and then apply your second product to just a square foot or so section and then compare the section the the adjacent panels and make sure you're getting the look you want before applying the second product to the entire car.

Test Spot

:)

Thank you.

As a follow-up:

This time I used XMT360. How long should I wait before overcoating with the 4*UPP?

I have no problem putting one sealant on top of another. I like to start with a all-in-one cleaner/sealant product to clean the paint and setup a nice base coat.

I usually use Optimum Poli-Seal or Zaino Z-AIO, and then I'll top either one with another sealant or wax.

Usually in the winter, I'll do Z-AIO followed by Wolfgang DGPS.

Would the Finish Kare 2180 go over XMT360 OK? I live in pretty humid area so do you think 2 hours cure on the 360 is enough before top coating with another sealant? Thanks!:props:

XMT360 looks nice of its own and seems rather durable, that said you could certainly top it will a pure wax or sealant as desired. Let us know the outcome. ...

The FK2180 has cleaners that would remove the coat of XMT360.
