Can the new ceramic coating be used over an acrylic sealant?
I have been using Klasse sealant glaze and want to switch to Wolfgang Uber ceramic coating. Are there any issues or precautions I need to be aware of?

Basically every coating I ever read about, or used, states that it must be applied to a fully stripped and pristine prepped surface beforehand, so I'll say no on this one, absolutely not! No Sealants, Glazes, Waxes, or Oils that will very likely be left behind by paint polishes.

Seems every maker of such also make a paint prep product that "must" be used first.

Products such as Carpro Eraser which is used as a Prep Product is only good for removing oils left behind from Polishes, and not designed to remove durable Sealants-Waxes-etc.

Now you "might" be able to use Klasse to top after the coating, but also may lose some of the qualities that a good Coating can offer.

I'd say that: When it comes to Wolfgang's
Uber Ceramic Paint Coating (WUCPC)...

Klasse HGSG would be considered a form
of "contamination"...that needs to first be
removed...before WUCPC's application.

From the above Mike Phillips tutorial:

Surgically clean surface
"In order for the Uber Ceramic Paint Coating to form a proper bond to the surface the surface must be free from any form of contamination that would hinder the coating from bonding. There are a number of ways to ensure a completely clean surface but the best way and the method that won't cause micro-scratching at the same time is to use the Perfect Finish Paint Prep with plenty of clean, soft microfiber towels.

Perfect Finish Paint Prep is a spray-on panel cleaner that safely dissolves and loosens surface residues and impurities such as,"

Traditional car waxes and synthetic paint sealants
"Many traditional car waxes use a natural wax called Carnauba and this waxy substance will hinder the ceramic paint coating from forming a proper bond to the paint.

Synthetic paint sealants use a myriad of synthetic protection ingredients and due to the secrecy involved in the car appearance manufacturing world we'll never know the names of all the ingredients used by all the various manufactures but suffice to say... these too must be completely removed in order for the Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Paint Coating to make a proper bond."

Thanks for the info.
I think I will practice on the wifes car first.

Hmm. I'm sensing a theme: First use of the buffer - wife's car. First use of wet sanding - wife's car. First coating - wife's car...
