Can you have too much light?

I just installed some high bay Lithonia 4 light T5 HO fixtures. DANG!!!!! they show everything. in particular, they will reveal pitting in the clear-coat like you wouldn't believe, even on white!!!!! I have to learn, enough is enough

I dream about having this kind of light. Posts like this make me want to head to HD and buy 2 of these for each wall of my shop.

they are reasonable!!!! $89 for each fixture, the bulbs are $5 and change when bought in bulk
