you can use it for leather that is not very dirty. but if it has the cracks, crevices, and typical dirty "lines" then you probably wont be able to get them clean because horse hair brushes are very soft and dont really have the rigidity that is needed to scrub those lines clean. but if the seats are not very dirty you can get away with it and it does a great job. plus, if its a high dollar car, you might want to stick with the horse hair anyway so that the stiffer brush doesnt damage the material.
