Hello Everyone,

Planning to apply Wolfgang paint sealant to a new car which is now around 3 months old. Can I use the Meguiar's wash & wax which I recently picked up from Costco. Below is the image which I borrowed from a different autogeek thread.

It seems that there shouldn't be wax on the car before applying the sealant but would washing with this wash soap which contains wax would be okay? Planning to use autoscrub nanoskin to clay afterwards and then polish with ultimate polish.

Doing this for the first time and that to wife's car so don't want to mess it up ;)
Thanks!

The polish will remove anything the wash leaves behind.

Yup. After your Nanoskin and polish, all the Megs will be history. Seal away!

And as far as it being your wife's car, you're a great guy.

Most of us experiment on our wives cars first before doing ours..........:laughing::laughing:

Ha ha.. when we bought the car I have her declined paint protection plan which is called perma plate. Told her that I'll make sure her car is protected. A gentleman should keep his promise, right :) Since that time I was on hunt to find the best and easy to apply products and ordered some Wolfgang products for exterior and interior.

BTW, anybody has information on what brand of products are applied in perma plate? Can't find much information on their website.

Lol.

Not saying we don't protect the wives cars, just experiment. ;P

And, JMO....... Forget about the "perma-plate" or whatever the name of the week is to steal your cash.

The only way to properly care for & protect your paint is in the processes you find right here on AGO.

That perma-plate may be the same as Simonize that some dealers use. Definitely not worth the asking price.
