I have a unopened bottle of the old formula. I think it is several years old but has been stored in a climate controlled area. I opened it to use yesterday. It was the consistency of a thin gel and had a light amber or yellowish color to it. The directions said how to apply it and gently smooth out any high spots. I did not see anything about wiping over it after application. It appeared it was dry to touch at stern by the time I made it to the bow. It looked like it had a dull shine when I left for the day. I only had time to do one side of the hull, I’ll see how it cured when I go back today. The boat is 31 years old with original gel coat that is in decent shape so it still looks pretty good for an old boat. Usually polish and wax once a year and by 7-8 months it’s showing signs of oxidation but time doesn’t let me do it more frequently. This is my first time using this product. I was hoping this coating would increase time between polishings. I would much rather fish than polish a boat. Did I make a mistake using the old bottle? If not, Are there any tidbits of advise for using the old formula that aren’t on the directions? Can I apply a second coat after 24 hours without any other prep? Will a second coat be beneficial?

I sent you my info yesterday. Thank You!
Looking forward to using the new stuff.

Yes Sir! Got here this morning. Not only did the coating get replaced, they threw in a 6 pk of applicator pads and a small bottle of 303 protectant. Above and beyond once again!! Thanks again Mike!
