My fiancé has to move away for work this July for a year and getting a new car. It is a banner year.
so, with her being 1500 miles away it will be difficult to keep her car clean and well protected for her. I'm looking for some recommendations of some easy to use, reasonable protection and useful in the heat and likely direct sunlight of Houston.

Some restrictions... direct sunlight, hot, likely no hose access (apt building) and won't want to stand in the heat (even I wouldn't, plus the mosquitos)

looking to to keep it to as few products as possible. Thinking a rinse less wash(wash and wax?) but not sure what to add for protection to layer over it like a spray wax or sealant, hopefully one that could be done while the car is wet from the rinseless wash.

Living in Houston myself, I can already tell you that it's difficult to use any sort of wash technique in direct sunlight. I have an 2016 Expedition El that's all black and it doesn't seem to matter if I use a hose and 3 buckets or D114 rinseless wash. If I'm in the sun, it's going to dry quickly, usually faster than I can move.

I've found using an EZ awning or managing to squeeze that thing into the garage is the only way to go. I usually maintain by rinseless with D114 and then use Opti-Seal as a drying aid.

Get her a monthly pass to a car wash and do a paint correction for her when you get a chance. She will love you for it washing a car in 100 degree heat and 99% humidity just doesn't sound like fun for her. Phil

Touchless car wash pass and some weathertech mats. All she needs is a bottle of good glass cleaner and some interior detailer.

You can bring it back to new when she returns home.

Like your idea:)
