ultra nub question:

are most car soaps the same? i bought a big gallon jug of soap 5 years ago before I got serious about car care.

it says safe for clear coat.

okay to use? worst case, it might strip off my wax/protection?

What brand is the soap in question?

If you follow the manufacturers direction it should preform just fine.

It should be safe, just sake up real good, check the consistency etc,

Soap really is inexpensive in the grand scheme of things, toss it and get a quality product try a small bottle of optimum or dura gloss.:buffing:

DG901 is probably cheaper and much better than the soap you have sitting around!

I recently purchased cg citrus wash and gloss.. I've heard good things about it so we'll see.

Got any of this car soap left?
Use it with a dedicated brush to scrub your tires.

And from now on:
Only use car wash shampoos!! :D

AutoGeek sells a boatload of 'em...take your pick,
according to what your budget allows.

:iagree:with Bob.

If you don't want to feel guilty of being wasteful, use it on wheels & tires.

Another bang for the buck is Meg's Hyper-Wash (D110).

And if you want to spoil the ride - Lusso Auto Bathe.
