Carbon fiber roof on M3

Is it a true carbon fiber weave covered with a clear coat finish? or is it some sort of carbon fiber vinyl wrap?
If it is clear coated, simply treat it the same as the other painted surfaces of the car.

From my experience with CF roofs:
-They usually have a special/different CC...
for "extra protection" against UV rays fading/degradation affects.
a.) Trying to remove scratches by compounding/polishing/"rubbing" may compromise this special CC.
b.) The CF roof-panel, then, must be repaired/replaced.
c.) NOTE: Any "additional" cuts, nicks, abrasions, etc. are usually not covered under the MFG's warranty.
-Although CF may look smooth/glossy...
There are small micro-depressions where the CC has sunk to fill the spaces in the CF-weave.
a.) CF can still have rough and sharp edges.
Caution must be used when washing/drying/polishing/sealing/etc.
b.) Don't polish/wax with products that dry to a white haze....
this residue will fill these small micro-depressions and it will be very, very difficult to remove it!
(Don't want to have to resort to any "wax/polish remover")
-These CF roof-panels are an example of where polishes/waxes that are:
"black-in-color"...may come in handy.
-Opti-Seal/other-WOWA-sealants, or Spray-sealants are other products worthy of note.

is it oem or aftermarket? wet or dry cf? sure its not vinyl? are you postive theres a clearcoat?
a $500 cf roof will vary in everything compared to a $1200 cf roof.. make sure you know everything before you get at it

The M3 comes standard with a carbon fiber roof....
Considering it's a brand new M3, I'm pretty sure it's the real deal & not the cheap vinyl aftermarket stuff.
