M105 with orange and yellow 4 inch (2 passes)
M205 with white CCS 4 inch
IPA clean up
Optimum Poli-seal with white 5.5 inch
Optimum opti-seal (2 coats)
Collinite 845IW

washed and in the garage

Nice save...

Carbon Fiber is like working on old single stage paints, it's easy and you can get dramatic results...

Most, not all but most carbon fiber is straight resin, not coated with an automotive clear layer of paint, so the problem is that it oxidizes like an old single stage paint and it's pretty easy to fix oxidation as compared to removing swirls out of a clear coat.

:xyxthumbs:

yup, this is the resin type. Kinda reminded me of sanding down a surfboard. I tried first with M205, but it was taking more effort than I thought so I moved up to 105. The sanding part was mostly around the edges of the hood.

definite improvement...shoulda hit those headlights while you had everything out...but none the less looks 100% better

thanks! I actually worked on the headlights yesterday. Similar process but the bad areas still need work (probably need to move up to 1000g instead of 2500).

Wow someone really let that hood go to H E double hockey sticks

Great save

Nice Job with the Carbon Fiber.
Is it an APR stage 3? K04? or bigger ?
