After watching Mike clean rugs with a carpet brush on his DA, I though I would give it a try on some stains I could not get out of my rugs. This is the one I bought

Heavy-Duty DA Carpet Brush Short Bristles

All I can say is WOW! My rugs now look like new and it only took me a few minutes. How did I ever get by without this thing?

I did have two issues when using it. Some areas in my car are tough to get to with a five inch brush. I am now on the hunt for a three inch brush for those tight places. The other issue is doing the removable carpets. I need to find a way to hold them in place while going at them with the brush because operating my PC with one hand is not easy.

More great info from this forum. I will continue to make most of my purchases from this site. Need to support the people that keep this forum going!

Sorry I did not take pictures. I did not expect such great results.

You could put the mats on a work bench and use a couple of clamps to hold them down on the edges while you use the PC/brush.

Just a thought.....

Which chemical did you use to clean with?

I might have to revisit these type of brushes.. The 1 time I bought a similar brush I paired it with the HF backing plate and it came off the velcro within the 1st. 30 seconds of using it... Later come to find out that the velcro on those backing plates is the equivalent of Crazy Glue, so that may have played a part it that result. Lol.

It brush separated from its own backing. Meanwhile I could bearly separate the pad from the backing plate. Still to this day they’re stuck together.

.

I used Armorall carpet and upholstery cleaner because it is what i had. I don't attribute the great job to that however. I have used it with a hand brush with less than great results. It is the agitation action of the DA that does all the work in my opinion.

I did have an issue with the brush coming off the machine if i pulled it away while still running. I quickly learned that this is not a good idea.
