Figured I would add my 2 cents about Ech2O and provide a video.

Test subject: 2014 BMW 335xi Black. It was corrected and coated with WB Uber Ceramic about 14 months ago; Reload was applied about 8 months ago. As we all know black is the ultimate test of swirls, haze, streaks... pretty much everything that can be a pain in the rear will be with a black car.

This is my daily driver, it sees about 650 miles/week in the Boston area so it gets used and abused by all the elements. I last washed it about a little more than a week ago and since has been through 2 snow storms.

I did 3 tests: 1:25 quick detail, (1:25) cut 1:10 with reload, and 1:200 rinseless wash.

Quick thoughts before we get to the video. The scent is a subtle sterile like smell, reminds me of an ER room at a hospital. I intentionally over saturated all 3 test areas. I wanted to capture on video for folk how it streaks and how it buffs out. If anyone has a love/hate relationship with Reload they know what I'm talking about. You'll see in all 3 tests the product absolutely does streak, but a quick buff with a dry towel takes it right out. Nothing like Reload, which can be an absolute pain to get the streaks out (remember black BMW here :) ).

That said I still found I had to be very vigilant with a final/extra buff stage. Best stated as, "if you think you've got all the streaks out, go over it one more time."

On to the video, sorry it's a bit long, feel free to skip parts you aren't interested in.

Specifics:

Test 1 - 1:25 quick detail. The snow had mostly melted and some deposits were on the paint. Towel got extra wet from melted snow puddles, had to use 2nd towel to dry it. Not product fault just circumstance. Watch closely the final buff where I do circles. You'll see the streaks and how easy they come out.

Test 2 - I cut the 1:25 quick detail 1:10 with Reload. Application and removal was pretty similar, no big difference in streaking. A huge plus here is compared to Reload by itself this was infinitely faster/easier to deal with. I'll have to see how this section holds up but this may very well be my new go-to topper formula.

Test 3 - Rinseless wash 1:200 on a very dirty panel. I pre soaked with a sprayer 1:200 and I applied enough so you can see how it behaves. This is far more than I would normally apply for a presoak but it was interesting. Compared to Uber Rinseless I found it didn't "hang" on the vertical panel as long. It started running down the panel like a barbarian sprinting to battle. For the price point of Ech2O I will probably not use it for presoaking. I don't see enough extra benefit of it as a presoak vs other options for the price point IMO.

The Rinseless wash itself was very easy. It felt a little bit slicker than Uber. Again having to be vigilant with an extra buff pass. Watch closely in the upper left area below the handle, I almost missed a streaky area.

Great glossy results. To get the same "pop" using Uber I would have to top it. So if you're looking for a greater "pop" and are going to do an extra pass with another product you may very well end up saving time just using Ech2O.

Small note - don't let this stuff dry to anything, especially 1:1. Was not easy to wash off measuring cup.

Cheers!
-Matt

I also couldn't see a link to the vid on desktop view... But on Tapatalk I can see it. Now if my dang internet would quit lagging and allow it to play without lagging it would be great. Lol

Great thanks for the Video! Thanks for taking the time to put the demo together.

It was a good way to pass the time during another snow storm :)

Nice review. Btw, why Vimeo? Why not using Youtube?

Thanks. During the summer I'm a skydive videographer and Vimeo does a better job with higher bit and frame rates, and there's no ads.

Great write up! I'm a dedicated WGURW fan but have been tempted to try out Ech2O.

Btw - fancy with the go pro and the moon rover - lol.

As a fellow huge fan of WGURW this Ech2o is the real deal, seriously. I would like to see it sold in a gallon size though to make it more cost effective. I mean at $80.00 a gallon WGURW is the most expensive product of its kind BUT because of its dilution ratio makes the most sense and cents.

Time will tell if the Ech2O becomes available in a gallon size, hopefully someone there gets the memo.

The gallon sized is sold on CarPros site. It shouldn't take much prodding for PBMG to carry this size. Actually it's 4 liters.

Loved everything except the music made me cry ;)

haha license friendly good music is hard to come by, if you have a source let me know I'm always looking for a good alternative to freemusicarchive.org

thanks, I found it packed up in a box yesterday from yet another kickstarter that bellied up, figured I would charge it up and put it to use

Nicely, done sir! Great review on the product and I took away, "your technique"

thanks, mostly Gary Dean's method he deserves the credit :)

Totally, if the price point gets better I think the adoption rate will increase.

Well I had mixed up 12 oz of the QD + Reload so I went out and did another QD round, because why not :) I can't speak high enough of this mixture of how pleasant it is to use compared to Reload itself. 10 mins to detail and lay down some Reload is amazing! I'll need to see how it lasts, but this use case sells me alone!

Did a rinseless wash to the rims and wheels and although the haze is tricky to deal with it worked great also.

Two weeks ago the rims were coated with McKee's 37 Wheel Coating, and the tires were coated with McKee's 37 Tire Coating. As you can see easy to clean and still look great. Don't know if I'll use Ech2O on them in the future, takes a little bit longer to deal with the haze removal than other options.

And some after shots, looking great!

I'm not a RW user, but gotta ask...

Do ya'll pre-rinse in the utility sink and then throw them in the washer.
Or wait till the wife is asleep and then sneak it into your loader.

80% of the time I pre rinse in a bucket with a Grit Guard and some car wash shampoo, wring them out, then toss them into the washer.
The other 20% of the time I'm too lazy to do that and just wash em.

yup same thing here, I'll use the same soap that they are about to be washed in and manually agitate them in a bucket with a grit guard.

The lazy way, throw them in the washer. No problems so far with the microfibers or the washer.

Spoke to them about the gallons and was told the order is on the ocean as we speak. They have a large order on the way to restock all the out of stock and fast moving items.I am waiting to get my gallon and am happy I bought the litre.
