CarPro Perl and Reload on Floor Mats
I have the all weather mats in my Kia and although we don’t seem to get anything more than hot and dry weather around here, they are excellent and holding in beach sand from my post-surf sessions.
Last week I wanted to revive them, so I used diluted PowerClean and coated the passenger side mat with Perl and the driver’s side with Reload (two coats). They baked in the smoke-hazy sun for about twenty minutes.
The next day when I got home from the beach, I took out the driver’s mat and was expecting to blast it with water to get it clean, but just a low rinse from the garden hose for a couple seconds and it was totally clean.
Yes, the mat feels more slippery under my feet. So I am not advocating this method of protection for other people. I was already scolded by a friend for doing this. Look, I need to experiment; and it’s best done on my own vehicles.
Post-washing with a damp microfiber and PowerClean.
After applying with PERL.
And just realized I don’t have a photo of the driver side mat after putting reload on it. It was the same dark black as the other one, though.
