I recently bought PERL for tires. Since it can be applied to plastic too, I tried it on (un -diluted) on neglected plastic. Transformation is very good, but every time I touch it, it feels oily.

Is it because I applied too much?
Is it possible to get rid of oily touch, without compromising on quality finish?
Will this oily feeling surface attract dust?

Feed back please

I use perl un-diluted on tires and wheel well.
It seems to work on Michelin but not very good on continental. Maybe is the tire issue. The oily feel is what cause beading and can be wash away easily.

Wipe the area with a microfiber towel to remove any excess product. If you can swipe your finger on the trim without visible residue coming off on your finger, the product has been properly applied (Same for tires).

Keep in mind, the restored color on the trim may fade relatively quickly with PERL, however it will continue to provide protection for a month or more. For longer lasting black trim, I'd highly recommend CarPro DLUX.

I use it diluted 5 to 1 for interior. The oily feel is probably because its being used straight up

:whs: Nothing to add to this

Old post but I had to add, I just used my sample of PERL for the first time today 2:1 ratio. Vehicle was an 07 FJ Cruiser and for anyone who doesnt know that has about as much black outside trim as any car. It works AWESOME and really makes the trim look black. I also used it on the interior black plastics and the freaking glow that it makes is stunning! My usual suspects for exterior are DG271 or Meguiar's T&T gel. I can't say I am going to BUY PERL until the others run out but I do like it very much!!

Sorry I meant 3:1 ratio not 2:1

I've had good luck using PERL at...
wheel wells/engines - 3:1
tires/trim 1:1 or undiluted
of course, one should experiment and see what is to their liking...
